Healthy Snack - Overnight Oats

Oatmeal has always been a top choice for a healthy snack whether you are eating oats to lose weight or gain healthy mass but oatmeal has been a boring type of food. I remember my friend telling me that it is like eating chopped cartons with hot water in it.

Let's change that and make oatmeal more interesting because eating healthy food does not need to be boring. Today, we are making the Overnight Oats!


Benefits

Overnight oats are packed mainly with protein and fiber. If you are trying to pack up some protein in your diet, this is good. On the other hand, if you want to reduce body fat and have a healthy digestive system, you got the good ol' fiber backing you up.

This also can give you the feeling of being full. This is really helpful for weight loss.

Let's get started!

You will need:

1. A small container safe for food.
2. A fridge!

Ingredients:


1. Oats. ( Use any kind of oats except for instant oats. Ideal oats for usage are rolled oats)


2. Milk - Soya milk, almond milk or fresh milk.


3. Yogurt - Unflavored


4. Fruits - Fresh or dried fruits


5. Chia Seeds (optional)


6. Fruit jams (optional)





How to make them:

1. Put in 50 grams of oats.
2. Put 1 Tablespoon of chia seeds or about 10 grams.
3. Put 50 grams of unflavored yogurt
4. Pour 150ml of soya milk
5. Place in the dried fruits or fresh fruits. (amount depends on how much you would like.) 
6. Put about a tablespoon of the fruit jam.
7. Mix them all together and put in the fridge for about 6 - 8 hours.




You may also try chocolates, peanut butter, protein powder and some other fruits like strawberry, grapes or any fruit that you would want. You may also try some nuts while at it. 

The following day, your overnight oats are ready. You may eat them during breakfast or anytime you would like. 

There you have it! Quite simple. No cooking required and very affordable. Who says that eating healthy is boring? Try them now!
