Ramen Sora. Taste Japanese Ramen in Cebu!

I have always longed for authentic Japanese Ramen and luckily, a new Ramen shop just opened called Ramen Sora!

Thanks to a very good friend of mine, we were able to feast authentic Japanese Ramen here in Cebu!

Ramen Sora is relatively a new brand with branches in Japan, Las Vegas and in the Philippines. That includes Cebu.

While they are a new brand, they are not new in serving good ramen.

The Place

Once you enter the restaurant, every one greets you with a loud welcome in Nihongo. You get entertained right away the moment they see you and their staffs are really friendly and very accommodating.

They cook the food right in front of everybody! This tells you that every food that you eat and order is freshly done. The place looks really busy, perhaps that's how it is in Japan?

Overall, the place is pretty decent.

The Food

For this night, we ordered their house special Ramen and some Gyoza on the side. Most importantly, I want to show you their House Special Ramen!
Chopsticks for ramen!
Miso Ramen Deluxe - The house specialty

The Super soft pork added to the Miso Ramen.
Gyoza

What's a gyoza without its sauce?

Just a bowl of Miso Soup after carnage!

Let's talk about the ramen. The soup and the noodles are all from Japan. All imported from Japan. The noodles is of very good quality. Bouncy and very good. The miso soup is awesome but it was a bit too salty for my taste. Regardless, it was still good.

We ordered the Ramen deluxe which means that more toppings are on top. We have the nori (edible seaweed), half an egg, some bamboo shoots, spices and my favorite, the super soft pork cut on top and when I say super soft, it is really super tender! I guess the saying that it "melts in your mouth" applies to the pork on top plus it's packed with flavors.

The price for this bowl is about 400php and the serving is totally huge! How huge? My face would fit the whole bowl.

The Gyoza was amazing. Perfect for a side dish.

Here are some other pics taken from Ramen Sora:

I forgot what this was but it certainly looks so yummy!

Overall, I enjoyed the food and the accommodation. It may be a bit pricey for 400 Pesos a bowl but hey, they prepare quality Japanese Ramen that would surely bring happiness to your tummy.

Would I come back? Heck yeah!
