Just got off from an amazing weekend! To sum It up, I would say that everything was so refreshing, so revealing, there was repentance, I felt so loved, I felt so blessed and I felt so loved! Oh, did I already say that?

All of these could be experienced from the BEST retreat that I have ever, EVER attended in my life and that is the ilovelife retreat! A retreat hosted by the Light of Jesus Family who also brought you the Feast and this is the same community founded by Bro. Bo Sanchez.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to join because the price was kind of way above my budget but in the end, it was all worth it. The place, the food, the experience and super good speakers namely Bro. Jay Yogawin, Bro. Didoy and Bro, Migs Ramirez! The host were also amazing! Every single cent was worth it!

So upon joining, I thought that this would just be one of those retreats where you huddle as a group, do some little reflecting, give your sharing and maybe cry a little. Fortunately I was REALLY WRONG! The retreat was really more than that!

I would not dive into the details so let me sum up what I got from the retreat:

1. Repentance

Sin is always there but with repentance, change will begin in you!

2. Stronger Faith In God

Personally God spoke to me and told me that He listens to my every prayer, to my every pain, to my every cry and concern. He is always there!

3. Felt God's love

Need I say more? If you wanna feel God's great love in raw form, attend! :)

4. New Friends!

God sends you awesome people to bless your life and maybe the love of your life?

5. A better person

There are tons of talks and activities that would improve you as a person, after the retreat, I assure you that you would not feel the same!

The list does not stop there but I have to, otherwise I'll bore you to sleep!

The big take home from this retreat was really filling up your love tank and making you a better person!

Are you ready to be changed? Do you want a change in your life? Feel God! Feel more love!

Next retreat will be on March 2015. Get ready to be blessed and be a blessing others!

A lot of us are already saving and that is good because that means we want to save for our future in a vision that we could become rich and financially prepared.

So where does our money go? In the banks? That is good but do you know you can maximize your returns outside the bank?

Where? I personally recommend the mutual funds! Mutual funds are stock investments, difference is, It just saves you the hassle of buying stocks for yourself with a very good rate of return.

Mutual funds, at an average has an ROI (Return Of Investment) of 12% a year with no tax on it! At this moment, (as I am writing) one of my mutual fund account is already at 26.83% as ROI.

And one of the best things about the mutual funds is that you can start owning your own shares with an initial investment of 5000 Php and 1000 Php for additional investments. Whoever said that investing is a rich man's game?

Sounds good? Yes but WAIT! This is an investment, unlike savings account in the banks, ROI could go red depending on market movement. Just like in the year 2008, World Financial crisis, ROI was -40%!

Scary? NO! Before getting into investing, we need to be educated on how the market works and runs. Once we get educated, risk becomes opportunity and we ourselves could become financial experts!

Another session of eating good food! This time we're out for some Indian food and where else to go for Indian food? None other than Firozian!

The Place

The place was pretty awesome! Once you enter the area, you can definitely feel a different kind of atmosphere, a taste of culture and a feel of good food.

The Food

Ah, the most awaited part. I was so hungry that I almost forgot to take pictures of the food so you would see some bite marks. lol

This is the beef Durum. Basically a shawarma that is enlarged! Already ate part of it which makes it not a complete pic for the dish. XD
Inside we have some veggies, some dressing and the beef itself! Yum! You can also get a veggie durum or a chicken durum.

Next, we have the Rumali Roti. The white bread is the Roti and on the side is the curry. A bit sweet and spicy!

Next up, we have the Samosa. Inside are potatoes, onion and peas. Healthy if you ask me.

As you can see, we have stuffed potatoes inside mostly and curry as well. Beware, this is spicy and the potatoes are really, really stuffed! For me, you get the best value of your money because it is really so stuffed!

The chicken Masala. We have a Roti here and the chicken curry! Don't be fooled, the dish may look small but it's bigger that you think.This meal right here can make you full! The chicken curry is awesome! Spicy and tender chicken mixed with curry and Roti makes a perfect match! Don't worry, you can actually ask the waiter to make it a bit milder if you can't tolerate spicy.

Early this week, we just got our pay and me and my good friends decided to try Thai food. Now I have heard of Mae Krua from my mom and she tells me they serve really good food. Well, we just had to taste that ourselves and decide if it was really good.

The Place

The place was alright, upon entering, you get a "home" feeling and we got pretty comfortable right away.

The Food

A lot of their food contains coconut milk and curry! YUM! (If you're a fan)

I have to say this is one of the freshest soups that I have ever tasted. This contains chicken meat and coconut milk plus some really, really fresh herbs. You can still basically taste the herbness of the herbs. The taste is a bit sour combined with the goodness of coconut milk. In other words, just like Sinigang and coconut milk altogether. Imagine that.

If your a fan of duck and curry, then this dish is for you. I forgot the name of the curry but it starts with letter P. lol

Beef in red curry

My favorite dish. The beef is so tender and the curry is so good! You will really need to try this. If I'm right, this beef curry contains coconut milk. I really could not describe the taste. There are no words for it.

The Budget

For all this, we spent 960php, we were only 3 but the above is good for 4 people, there were some leftovers. So if you want to eat with your friends or family, a budget of at least 1000php would be ideal. (If you're a group of 4 that is)

The overall price is fairly affordable. I mean for food this good, it's fair enough. :)

Where to Go?

So my 2nd purchase was for my Z1 compact, accessories that is. I purchased 1 Screen Sergeant screen protector and 1 Krussell frost cover. (Basically a back cover for the phone.)

Mayor Wamura could not believe his eyes. "When I saw bodies being dug up from the piles of earth, I did not know what to say. I had no words." he mentioned.

This triggered his motivation to do the craziest thing the town had never seen before. He started a project, a seawall so big that it would protect the villagers from any tsunami that would strike.

The town started to build a seawall of 51 feet. Another town had a seawall of 33 feet and this was considered to be very strong and is able to withstand any tsunami but Mayor Wamura had something else in mind.

After having erect the 51 foot seawall, Mayor Wamura was not satisfied, he had to build floodgates and it was as big as the seawall!

Here's the thing, everyone thought that it was a crazy idea. A lot of people thought that it was unnecessary for the mayor or the town to have a seawall as big as that!

He was criticized a lot and considered his project a waste of time and a waste of money! Imagine if you are at the town and you are seeing this happening.

Most probably Mayor Wamura heard these lines: "You crazy old man, you don't need that much! You are just wasting our money!" or "Get a life, don't waste your time on this. It won't work and a huge tsunami won't happen!".
